What is MacuShield?

Macular degeneration (AMD) is an eye condition which occurs from blue light damage on the macula – affecting our vision as we age. Although there is no cure for AMD, there are over-the-counter treatments such as MacuShield Capsules which can help.

Macular degeneration is found to be caused by light-induced oxidative damage on our eyes and more specifically the eyes’ macula. These three carotenoids have been found in studies conducted by eye care experts to block blue light from reaching the underlying layers of the retina and so reducing the risk of macular degeneration as we grow older.

MacuShield, amongst other formulas, contains powerful, naturally-occurring nutrients which help to slow down the progression and reduce the risk of AMD. This also includes MacuShield Gold, an advanced formula containing additional vitamins and minerals the body needs to sustain healthy eyes.

What are MacuShield Side Effects?

There are no known side effects of MacuShield or MacuShield Gold's core nutrients – lutein, meso-zeaxanthin and zeaxanthin. Lutein supplements have been found to be safe when doses contain up to 15mg a day. MacuShield supplements contain up to 10mg daily doses of lutein which is within the guidelines.

Who is MacuShield for?

MacuShield capsules are made for those concerned with protecting their eyes from the onset or development of macular degeneration. MacuShield are also made for patients who may already have started to develop macular degeneration by slowing down its progression and preserving their sight for longer.

Is MacuShield And MacuShield Gold Safe?

MacuShield supplements are entirely safe when taken under the correct daily dosage – 3 capsules for MacuShield Gold and 1 capsule for MacuShield. This ensures your body takes in the optimal amount of nutrients to protect the macula from eye conditions such as macular degeneration.

What's the Difference Between MacuShield and MacuShield Gold?

Both supplements have been designed for the same purpose however, MacuShield Gold is an enhanced formula with added nutrients. These extra ingredients have been found to help your body to maintain and improve necessary functions which protects and maintain your eye health.
