AMD is normally an age-related disorder, usually affecting 50-60-year-olds and the middle part of the vision. It does not cause total blindness despite what people might say however it will make tasks like reading and recognising faces difficult. This treatment can get worse if not treated, however it can be easily treated. This disorder can get worse over the years and can affect either eye or both.
